Pet Cremations of Erie is locally owned and was established to fill the need for private and individual aftercare for pets. Private cremations are a rapidly growing alternative to group and communal cremations. Many pet owners prefer private cremations because it is the only method that ensures complete, individual retrieval of your pet’s remains. Private pet cremations are our specialty but we also offer communal cremations as a low cost option.

Our Story:
As pet owners we have been faced with the devastating decision about what to do with our pet’s remains and how to cope with the loss. Leaving our pets at the vet’s office always left us wondering what really happened to them and brought no real closure. That all changed when we took Chloe, our golden retriever, to a nearby larger city for treatment of a terminal illness. While there we had to make the decision to end her suffering and let her go. The vet referred us to a private pet crematory. This was the first we had heard of pet-centered aftercare. Although nothing could take away our grief it made it easier for us knowing Chloe's remains were being cared for with such compassion. It was then and there that we knew pet owners in Erie would appreciate and embrace specialized aftercare for their pets as much as we did. As a result we opened Pet Cremations of Erie, a service to bring dignity to pets in aftercare.
